Apparently the lure is hand carved then coated with fiberglass over the outside.I will have info shortly as I have spoken to Bill recently and have to follow it up.

That's similar to how Les Barlow does his - Les coats his lures in fibreglass resin to waterproof them before they are painted, seems to make them very robust. Thumbs Up

George it appears that your big blue lure is an R C Lure made by Ron Wood of South Australia.

Most op the big lures not only have a resin coating but several layers of thin fibreglass tissue in an attempt to toothproof them. Sorry the only big lures left are somewhat the worse for wear.

Barry have attached a pic of some of the other lures I have dabbled with. I am in the process of getting a photo of a lure I made for a mate in WA which is quite a lot larger than the big orange one.  Billj

G'day Bill, and welcome to LureLovers Smile

Thanks for posting up the photo's of your lures, very nice!

I fixed up the post that had the link instead of the picture for you Thumbs Up

The lure that you asked about looks like a timber StumpJumper, and a very nice one at that!

Cheers, Tony

Im not sure if this this post is still active or if it is dead but I was blousing and noticed it.
I have found it very interesting in as much as it has identified a lure I have had for some time with no idea of its origin
I now know that it is a Bill Jackson
Identical to the Silver Brown Lure hanging on the left side of the 3 lures pictured above
Im prety pleased as it is in new condition.
Cheers Kimo
