OOPS, my bad........ thought this title was about teaching carp to fly.I'm not having any luck in teaching cane toads to fly, they just hit the road and lay there (these ones must not be in an evolution era).
NOW onto THIS subject- up here we have the lilly pillys that drop little fruit during summer. I often find carp underneath them (whenever the tree is overhanging water that is) and a little red ball fly or lure often gets snaffled by one of them.

Bread fly pattern
San juan worm fly Any small shrimp/scud pattern I've also seen them on television landing them on fuzzle buggers/BMS style flies in black or green hope this help's Cheers Trout tramp |

Mate you could use anything from sheep's wool to deer hair Cream colour to brown tie it scruffy and trim just to look like a small piece of bread same as if you was using real bread on a hook Cheers Trout tramp |
