From what I can find and read up on, can someone clarify:

  • Ray Broughton was original Legend Lures
  • Graeme Clark obtain business
  • Tiegar is now the maker ?????
  • Where does R & M fit in ????

Obtained these a day or so ago - shimmy 90mm and 2 tiegar 65mm

and have these in the collection already.

So do I put them under Broughton or Clarke or Tiegar ????Confused

Thanks

wadey

Not really sure about this, so please don't quote me, I don't want to be accused of being an "expert".

Did Ray Broughton split RTB in three?

The Shimmey to someone in Darwin???????

The RTB Legend moulds to the Tiegar/ R & M linkup who changed the moulds to R & M    Now owned by a closed down Echuca tackle shop?

The minnows and the RTB Legend name to Clarkes. On his first packets you see RTB in a small banner above the word Legend, then RTB disappears on the second packets, then the little banner disappears so they just become Legend lures.

Jim, thats about how I read it too, R&M got the 125mm and 85mm and 65mm modesl, sold Teigar the 65mm at a later stage.
Not sure about the Shimmey, and don't know what happened to the Outback & Yarrum models.

I have the 65mm with nothing on the belly, R&M on the belly on a pink Legend card, R&M on the belly on a pink Tiegar card and R&M on the belly on black Tiegar card .

I think the outback and Yarrum were later Clarke Legends

OK, I thought they were later models, good to have it confirmed.

I recently picked up this "Outback" and "Yarrum". The outback is hand written and the yarrum is stamped signed. Does anybody know the timeline between hand signed and stamped? Also, I have not seen these eyes on other Legends, anything in that?

The stamped lure says LEGEND LURES "YARRUM" and is in a light grey.

Martin,
Give Graham or Wendy Clark a ring at Tackleworld Wagga. Their lures are the Yarrum, Outback and Billabong together with various minnows and spinnerbaits.

There were a series of colours attributed to various fisho's. Starlo and Steve Williamson come to mind. Peter Beadman hailed from the south coast Batemans Bay area I think.
