I was saddened to learn today of the passing of Malcolm Douglas Unhappy

According to WA Today newspaper, Mr Douglas was killed in a car crash on his property in far north WA.

http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/malcolm-douglas-killed-in-car-crash-20100923-15nt7.html?autostart=1

For decades Malcolm Douglas has entertained and enriched the knowledge of countless Australians as to what our fantastic country has to offer, in addition to promoting tourism in this country. His documentaries are amongst the small handfull that would see me glued to the TV screen.

My condolences go to his family and friends.

Cheers, Tony

For the love of Fishing Lures.

An Australian bushman that to my knowledge was never changed by fame and showed the rest of us what the real Australia has to offer up north.  I thank him for sharing what I will probably never get to experiance properly myself. RIP.

Seemed like a nice guy, I always envied his lifestyle, I was endlessly planning  3 month boat trips through the Kimberlies like he had done -
Like I said I envied his life, but not this way of dying, he was someone who deserved to die leisurely of old age.

Trolling alumium foil wrapped around a big long shanked hook was my favorite.

I wish I could find his stuff on DVD.
