Tuff question bob!
I really like the old heddon tiny torpedo, and the cotton cordell pop R, but if I could only choose one, it would be the cone poppers, made by various makers, I have a few plastic killa lure cones, and a few of Richard Lees timbers, they are my favorites, the cast great, and catch fish.

Easy question to answer at the moment as we have had allot of surface action on the Cod of recent times here @ Mulwala.
1. Gobsmacked "Buzz Bug", it's set up with a cup face popper & buzz bait wings.
2. Jackal Pompadour

Cheers TB

The heddon tiny torpedo for the bass and the berkley pop dog for whiting. The reason I started to make some lures is I lost too many tiny torpedoes. ]

I have a preference for the crazy crawler action no matter the maker in the fresh water for all perch species. Don't often use surface lures in the salt water, but I should get into it.
