Hi there,

Timber lovers rejoice, this post is what some dreams are made of...
Today I am going to introduce you to a nudist colony.
LOL
And I will not name the timber, that each lure is made of.
It is for you to guess, I will just number them, so you can put your guess in replies.
That could be fun...

All these lures are Scurvy Dog lures, made by hand, in Darwin, by Wayne Baldwin.
I had the chance to photograph the lures for him, which means that I was able to be close and personal with them.
LOL

But please be indulgent with the quality of the images, I know it could have been better, we just did them super quick during our lunch breaks.

Any way, enough words, Open your eyes, here they come:

And now the two lures that make the Grand Finale...
Wayne told me that these two were very special.
And do you know why they are so special?
Because they are mine!
Yes they were a gift from Wayne, and I am very happy with them, trust me!
Smile
Step by step, I building my little collection of nuddies, it is still very small, not a big colony yet, rather a small club.
But they are pretty as.
So here they come:

Thank you Wayne for the great present.

And I hope that a few of you will have a good time looking at them, I know that I enjoyed photographing them.

By the way, did you guess all the timbers?
Wink

Have a good day,
Pecheur

G'day all

First of all thanks to Pechuer for taking the time to photograph the nude lures & submit them on LL for viewing, I gave up trying to photograph them, to much glare off the glass or epoxy & I'm useless with a camera, so great job Pechuer.

The one I didn't ID to Pechuer is # 51 & no its not Coconut, one nude of that timber will be sent down with a couple of other lures with Capt Seaweed for Tony/Expo so I'll be interested to see if anyone ID's it off the photo & or down there, so many beautiful timbers out there to find, nature at its best, cheers Balls.

#51 is a head f@#k!

Wayne gave me a piece to play with today, I have no idea what it is, but I reckon NASA could use some to make tiles for the space shuttle!

I am giving a piece to the Army, as a secret non magnetic, radar proof armour for the next generation of armoured vehicles, and I heard that the new submarines may be built with this stuff, as water pressure at extreame depths wont damage it!

G'day Daven't/all

I share your pain Davent, just a heads up, the Coconut I gave you isn't much easier. I found Striped Ebony from PNG probably the hardest I have used, then the unidentified timber, Daly River Coconut (depending if its the outer or inner piece)then Sheoak/Hairy Oak & a couple of others. Good timbers to test you're patience, fingers & take the edge off your tools, but dam they are beautiful bits of wood when their completed, cheers Balls.
