Lures dropped off yesterday for me to take photos, 5 months overdue.

Came across them early January and arranged to take photos.

Nothing seems to move fast up here.

It appears that they were acquired from an estate sale locally, sometime ago.

Distinctive bib and prominent trout pattern

I had thought there might have been more will need to chase up..

Regards John

Were they successful river lure in there day.

I understood they originated in Tassie, but cannot  remember seeing them hanging off the walls of the fishing shops on the NW Coast.  Burnie, Devonport, Ulverstone, Smithton. which had rivers and whitebait visiting yearly
Maybe there were limited numbers and they sold quickly.

Looks like a lot of work involved to make one

A great lure to fish with and also for the collector of the walure John
They fish catchers and range from about $20 to $30 each depending on who's chasing them
