Nice one Seaweed, might be a bit uncommon up this way as these are all of my predominantly orange lures.

good ol' Halloween colours.
does anyone know why orange/gold is so effective? and why those colours go together? I believe they are really good in murky waters. not that that is ever a factor for me. in my case, it's a fly in these colours that I troll with that is just irresistible it seems. it will just go off. I know that a small gold plug is also very productive in my waters at that same time of year. and also a pink/orange fly is popular. so maybe it is simply that the colour combination happens to have that gold in it and also that orange that works. but I have other lures that are orange/gold that I run, because of the success with the fly, and they never get hits. hmmm? |

Of all the lure colors I use orange that's 40 to 50% coverage of the big "O",, is my least sucessful color , But I am still a sucker for them

Is that the yabby colouration in the Cotton Cordell Big O? The CC Big O was my go to bass lure, but I never caught anything on the yabby colour.
