That landscape picture you've got on the cards, is that a specific geographical place or just a random image you liked the look of?

Thanks everyone for your interest and feedback. Certainly happy to stick with that card now.
Phil that place does exist. It's in Orroral Valley in the Namadgi National Park. I did some work there quite a few years ago and I liked that stretch of stream, so I went home and painted that picture on a canvas. It was painted in full colour, however it was colour overload for a backing card image, so I took a photo of the painting then ran a sepia tone through it. Paul you're right it is hard. In some ways I think a clam shell package is the best option all round (transport, storage, longevity etc), but I just don't think it looks as good as a backing card. I kept it simple. Made the card in a simple computer program, bought some thin matt finish cardboard, ran them through our home printer, into the guillotine, hole punched and then a Stanley knife cut to hold the hooks. Keen to see anything you've come up with too mate. Cheers, Danny. |

Hi Danny,
You craft a fine lure. Have you considered making any surface lures/wake baits for large cod? I'd certainly take a couple off your hand if you ever decide to dabble. Pat

Hi Pat,
Thanks mate. I have an overwhelming number of designs that are not yet made, including bigger surface paddlers and wake baits. There's simply not enough hours in the year, let alone in the day. I still have a few members waiting here too. Will certainly get some big lures to you as soon as I make them. Cheers, Danny. |
