Way back in the early 80's Harry used to park his Holden Panel van at Bombo Railway Station (Near Kiama NSW) and set up his own designed and single hand made lures.

I purposely said "single hand" as Harry was an amputee and only had one arm

Mostly of metal - more like a crushed section of copper pipe partially lead filled and painted.

There still is a small water course nearby his old site and Harry used to demonstrate his lure actions in this small pond.

Long since passed away, I held onto just one of his creations :

I was recently very surprised to locate another 2 of his lures in mint - and the paper page of instructions from a guy's tackle box way up at Murwillumbah - my hometown in Northern NSW.
How they got from Kiama to MurBah is anyones guess.

Happy to email or scan and post the page to anyone interested.

Just need a postal or email address..

enjoy....wadey

Gary I was given one of three that a friend had and he didn't know the maker's name just that he bought them from Kiama from a man with only one arm. Thankyou for solving the mystery. Could I please have a copy of your info glenlyondamtouristp@bigpond.com as an attachment.

PM sent asking for scan to my email.

The gaff reminds me of a similar one I made up for use on the Magnetic Island Jetty and Lucinda.

Thanks

I bought a few lures off him many years ago and a couple of different types of his no snag sinkers, lovely man with a zest for life.
Mind you his sales pitch was flawless and he loved to show how his gear worked.
