I remember long before the dam permits, the Tenterfield Fishing and Restocking Club (plus about 5 other nearby fishing clubs) used to buy and release fish into Glenlyon Dam.
The Permit system took restocking to a whole new level. It was a great initiative by the Qld government The dam fishing boomed because of the ability to restock the dams with sufficient fingerlings. Travers
