I recently acquired these two lures made by Jim Mac. The brown one is a very big boy for a minnow.

Anyone know the age? I am guessing early 80's.

Stieny, the big one one is one of six I made about 1980.  The smaller lure was made late 70's.

Great pick-ups, you can definitely see the Nilsie influence on Jim's early lures. Had the pleasure of visiting Jim and his wife at his Mareeba home back in August, thanks to Barry. Wonderful display of his woodworking skills, including the bowl that won best in show, at this years Melbourne show. The ultimate prize for any woodturner.
Regards, Tony.

Dunno Barry....I thought it was an early Fysshe lure (like his anniversary ones) but Ian said it wasn't.

I know it’s an old post, but I recently acquired this large lure that looks like a JM lure and I’m just wanting some confirmation. If it is how many were made?
Cheers

Trying to add photo but it's not letting me, sorry
