Smith Wobbler one on card.

Another Tassie  maker at least 60's not sure if they were available in the 50's

I remember them hanging on hooks without cards

Some are enameled not sure of there age.  Perhaps they were they early ones and subsequently painted when they became popular, used regularly ,when white bait were running in the rivers.

They used to be available in the Smithton Tas sport store

Not sure if they are available nowadays

I would have thought the one in the picture maybe around the late 70's or early eighties.

They were available without the packaging in earlier years.

Smith Jigs were made in Tasmania as well.  In 1980 when Neil Patrick bought Halco from Hal Cooper, Smith Jigs were the only plastic lure in the range. The article states that Hal Cooper invented the Wobbler. Ref 60 years of Halco by Fishing World July 2010.
I have Vic's photos of a rack of Smiths  Jigs red  or white, also enamelled Wobblers.
