For some reason I can not post pictures anymore.
Has something changed again Tony ? The only way I did today was through a "photobucket" App on my smart phone . Mind you it was simple but if something goes wrong with phitobucket all the pics on forum disappear . Cheers |

tony, ive noticed last few months any pic i upload takes a long time to do so...at times minutes!
Ive got my camera settings down to 0.3 email size, as ive always done in the past..this used to download instantly no delay at all, somethings changed past few months, as ive not changed anything my end but it takes so long now, i rarely bother.

Hi Jas, It could be any number of things, including picture file size (probably not in your case), or your upload speed having dropped. You mention email size, although would help if you could please mention the file size in kilobytes. If you are on adsl you might find it worth resetting your modem, often the connection speed can be affected by congestion at your isp, or on the internet in general, or locally due to problems at the exhange (in my case occassionaly the gpo box near my house floods after heavy rain and plays havoc with the connection) |

Tony, this appears to be an issue that has been around for longer than a few months. I have experienced consistent very slow photo upload speeds for 6 mths or so now. During this time I changed onto the NBN from a reasonably quick ADSL1 and have found no difference. Time of day does not matter either.
To give an example - this 83kb file took 36 seconds between hitting the upload and it showing in the box ready to hit the OK button to post. The actual upload popup box took only a couple of seconds to appear and disappear but it seems the processing (for want of a better word) takes a very long time.
The below pic is over 2.5meg and experienced the same problem. The popup box with the upload status bar again was quick (less than 10 secs this time and I could see the bar progressing unlike the first pic which was too quick) but the processing time took another 36 secs (46 seconds all up)
It used to be just the time for the upload popup window then a few seconds after that you would have the pic appear in the box and you could press OK. It now takes anywhere from 20seconds and a minute to have that pic come up.
Hope that is clear
