A couple of years ago I picked up a Dizzy timber jewie lure. I showed him this at the 2014 Ipswich lure expo and he stated that he only knew of another 2 in existence - and he has them. He also said that he had knocked back offers of up to $200 each.

Today I picked up another one.

Cheers Glenn, knew there had to be more out there as Darren sold quite a few of them around Iluka / Yamba. And you have one of his molded lures as well. He sold that lure mold to a bloke at Wooli.

Good to see another style he made as well and other colour combos. Anybody else with them or know what other colour combos there are / were?

Horrorhead I think all my dizzy lures are moulded. I got them from a mate that met dizzy whilst fishing and he gave them to my him. Glenn

Glenn, I am certain your bottom 3 are timber. Dizzy braced the bibs on his timber ones to give them strength.

Very different bib set up, im wondering the reason behind beefing up the bibs if they are towed from the nose?

Just heard back -  these are molded. Different to what I was told by a tackle shop worker when I got my first one - but good to know.

Thanks for the info, now I am 100% sure what they are.made of. The unopened one with the different bib set up I wonder if it is timber. I always thought it was molded too, didnt know he made any timber ones. Glenn

He did make timbers, I wonder if that is one - be a great find.

Apparently the new owner of the mold doesn't like to paint his lures (I won't say why). But it's probably better to paint the new ones yourself. I don't know about your yellow / orange one and the black one, but your bottom lure and my 2 were made and painted by Darren.

I asked Darren when he sold the mold but he didn't answer.

The unopened one is plastic as well, only injection molded. Ron bought the equipment off Darren at least 5 or 6 years back.

Your blank ones will be of the one ones with the indented eyes wouldn't they?

I just did a hot pin test on one of my red lures - white smoke and smells of burning wood. I'll take them to the lure expo and question Dizzy in person rather then by Facebook.
