As promised John here is some of my Float Collection.
There are Floats from 50mm to 450mm long and some have Cork,Western Red Cedar,Pine,Red Cedar,And some other timbers I do not recognise. All manner of Line Attachment configurations as well. Timber floats with built in burley springs and hollows. |

Wow Barry! Overwhelmed by the sheer level of old floats in that lot. My favourite is the thicker wooden one with the tiny little stopper wedged in the eyelet. Do you know where it came from and if it was a common design back when it was made? Stunned by your collection.

Danny and John the one you point out is very,very light and appears to be Balsa or Cottonwood tree.I have no history on it at all.
