A couple of early Shrimps from Ray Whitmore. They are made from White Beech and each has a built-in rattle chamber.

With a body length around 75mm they are slightly larger then the subsequent Whitmore Crays(60mm) and Deception Shrimps(65mm). To the best of my knowledge only a handful were made.

Enjoy,
Col

Very nice Col, they are certainly a couple of beautiful looking old lures. Here is the shallow version of the same lure, with rattle also.

Awesome Whitmores guys Clap

Had the opportunity to buy a few of these a couple of weeks ago (not sure about rattles) .... being Whitmores and not Deceptions I declined, but stunning lures all the same Thumbs Up

Were they green Rob? I did see a pic of a couple someone picked up recently, slightly later models that were more rounded. A green cray pattern and the other green with faint rings and frog pattern over it. Very nice lures they were.

These are great. So many traits as seen in Paul's Cutlet Bone Shrimp. A great addition to the collection.

Cheers,

Danny.
