My Parsun is losing prime a lot !!! When trolling it stops and I have to re-prime then it goes for a bit then stops again , re-prime and away we go again . It is fine under throttle .
Any ideas ? |

I am thinking that you may have a small air leak somewhere.

My guess for what it is worth would be the idle jets in your carby may be gummed up. But always good to start with simple things first by replacing the fuel line and primer bulb.

Plastic is for storing lures, not making them.

Hi 2 cents worth, Is it 2 stroke or 4 stroke ???
Defiantly sounds like sucking air between the tank and the motor or carburetor if 2 stroke. If the motor has been without use for a while there is a definite chance of gumming up through the fuel system. injectors/ or needle & seat Before pulling everything apart to clean it out, 2 or 4 stroke try running it with THE FUEL Doctor in it. I have found it to be magic in my 4 stroke I put it in every 2nd tank of fuel now Fuel Doctor available at Supper Cheep stores But sounds more like sucking air. Kimo |
