Hi all
1st time post. I mainly fly-fish these days but I spent many years using lures and still do occasionally.

Anyway, my old boss gave me this before he retired, he had it hanging in his office for bloody years. It's definitely wooden...is it a StumpJumper? any idea of the vintage?

Thanks in advance Thumbs Up

Definitely looks like a timber stump jumper to me. Very collectable and worth a few bob. I would be interested if you were looking at selling it.

Thanks Jimmy for the response. Could you guess what year, just out of interest?
Although I am not a collector I appreciate old fishing tackle. I might consider moving it on to a Collector, I'll take a little while to think about that though first Wink

Thanks all for your help! I am probably leaning towards keeping it for now, but I'm not a 100% sure.

Hopefully this question is appropriate and I am not breaking any forum rules (apologies mods in advance if that is the case), but for my own interest could someone  with knowledge of these things please give me an estimation of it's worth? I simply have no idea of its value in the collector market. I have tried to do a search of previous forum threads and have had no luck.
Cheers Thumbs Up

A Stumpy in that condition would have a reserve of at least $250.00 and could go much, much higher!! I would remove the hooks for the moment or put plastic tubing on the points and wrap lure in tissue paper... Wink

Hang onto it mate, it's a beaut. If you do decide to sell, put it up on Ebay with a $500 reserve, I think you'll be pleasantly surprized.
