Does anyone know when CC went plastic and was it across the whole range ???

Sounds right, I bought my wooden Fishsticks about 1991 .... in my next order, which may have been 1991 or 1992 they had unfortunately gone plastic.

Seriously don't understand why the Fishsticks haven't gone back to timber, IMHO the plastic ones just don't compare ???

Lure Nut

Steve changed those models to plastic to literally keep up with demand - as simple as that. They were the two most popular models at the time and supply was a big problem. You can now get the Fish Sticks in suspending too - and they are awesome in slow flow and lake situations.

And Rob, don;t get into Custom Crafteds, Kovaks was a mad tinkerer and the variety will stagger you, especially early on.

Love to own one of those box sets one day too, just by the way.

You may be lucky to have the cardboard cause both of mine do not.

These Boxes are hard to find and as yet haven't seen any on the Bay.

Plastic - but a very collectable set.
Love them.

You're missing the obvious cardboard cover along with the business card and the bubble wrap that covers the lures

What would one of these be worth containing a couple of timber lures, some history in pristine condition and as original as the day it was presented to the original owner who still has it in his possession?

That would depend if you were the buyer or the seller

I don't understand what the difference would be. A new Nissan Pulsar is worth $19, 990 to both the seller and the buyer.  If I go to the supermarket to buy a lettuce that is for sale at $1.89 the same principal applies.

For the record I am the one in possession if that makes any difference to some people.

Why did I think they originally had timber lures in the set?  Confused

I can't answer that question Bigriver. My set has a flat lumo diver that wasn't in the colour chart that came with the set.The set was presented to me by Rod Cockburn back in the early 90's

The difference is  :- we both agree that a new Nissan Pulsar will COST $19,990 , but WORTH is what the individual would be willing to pay OR accept as payment .

Would love to see your pics of the set with all the complete bits and pieces. The only other person I have seen to have the full set is ex member David Vasic but thos pics are no longer on here. You had good forethought to put them away pristine, both from a history and financial perspective.

Alistair.

Laurie does that face mean they are not rare and not early because if it does I think you are correct.
Back then I for some reason thought they were but now after many more coming out of the woodwork (including one more I have acquired)I realise they are far more common than first thought.
