Very interesting. He had some great tools.
I missed the total time line from start to finish, or it just was not covered.

I would have been interested in how he did the oars from start to finish.

I acquired some wooden canoe paddles very early 70's in the Solomon's and they had very very basic tools available . no electricity , but plenty of time.The workmanship was evident even then. the reason I acquired them.

Beautiful thing Sel, Imagine how long it took to make one in N.Guinea with a stone axe, these guys have the patience of a rabbit trap.
Not sure if it was posted here or somewhere else BUT how about a folding canoe--
