hi, i am new to the hobby of lure making, i have all the ideas down on paper and in my head but after going to my local hardware and timber yards, i am struggling to find wood suppliers! from information i have gathered western red cedar is preferable, can anyone point me in the right direction. west of melboune i am located. thank you in advance

Hi. I'm not from Melbourne but I have managed to source really good WRC from salvage yards.

Be careful using western red cedar I cannot use it my hands chest get little blisters that itch like hell every time I use it wear a mask as with all timber
there should be a few posts on here about timber for lure making

Thanks for the help guys! Went to a timber salvage yard 30 mins away. Ended up finding some baltic pine.
