My name is Wayne and I have been making some wooden barra lures, when I work out how to put them up I will show a few of the lures that I have made. Is red cedar one of the better timbers to make lures as I have made some out of poplar tree which seems to work. If cedar is one of the top timbers to use is there a place that I could by buy some to try.
Regards Wayne

Your hello post was in a very old closed sales thread so I moved it here to a new topic for you.

I recommend you take a look at our various Lure Making sections, you'll find answers to each of your questions above and much more, here's a link to get you started;

Hi Izzy
Not sure of suitability for your purpose, but I have sourced red cedar and other nice timbers from old furniture, desks robes etc. keep an eye out at garage sales and tip shops
