Making some models off an old ABU spin-up as thy are very good fore jiggin Redfins from Boat ore the Ice in Winter
Any off you Auissies seen them and tried them on Red-fins Smile

PJ I've never seen the ABU ones but have caught our bass on similar tail spinner type lures.

What weight is the tail spinner you use John.
These ones is about 10gr. casted in White metal and about 12gr. casted in Lead

I've used them around 7 and 12 grams.
Some guys will use them around 20g. It all depends on depth and how patient you are.

I,ve used tail spinners on bass in Queensland and redfin in Victoria (Hume Dam) - worked very well. In Hume Dam we started getting big carp on them once the sun started setting.

Eden's Lures made a timber tail spinner that sank at about a metre every 6 seconds - that worked well on bass as well.
