Last Sept. I was talking with Darren MacQueen of Casino (DMac Lures), when he mentioned he was good friends with Don 'Chappie' Lawson of River King fame. I told him I had an early metal bibbed red cedar model, that was missing a lot of paint. The lure was traded to me in this condition, but I was happy to have an early one even in this condition. I wondered as not knowing Don, would Darren ask if he wouldn't mind repainting. Later Darren got back to me saying no problems, Don would be happy to do it. To cut a long story short, I received this yesterday. Thanks Don and Darren. Regards, Seaweed.

Nice restoration and they are great looking lures. I have a few timber ones myself.

Especially after a little bit of "throat lubricant"Wink. Fishing with Don on time amazed me with what he knew about murray cod and their habits in the rivers.

Darren made great bass lures himself and is now making the River Kings.
