Hi

Anyone has idea on how to label lure . I tried using Sharpie over etex coat and when I did  final coat the color got bleed.

Thanks, Raghubir

A lot of marking pens will bleed under topcoats, a simple method is to use a standard HB lead pencil. It shouldn't bleed...

Thanks Ian & Per for the suggestions.Smile

Please pardon me for few more questions, Ian is it possible to write with pencil on etex or you mean after color and before first top coat of etex. How you name your lures, is it in the same manner as suggested by you.

Per could you please suggest brand name of water based marker and how you do it.

I will try both the ways as suggested by Ian & Per.

Thanks
Regards, Raghubir

This is the pen I usually use but I use acrylic clear topcoat. It works better on a matt paint opposed to more glossy paints. I write before topcoating. Same with the pencil but paint has to be cured as the pencil may dig into the soft paint.

i do the same as Fysshe Raghubir,if you give it a light spray of acrylic lacquer clear it fixes the ink,ive used it over sharpie ink too and it works but unfortunately ive found it fades over time with sunlight.I use a uniball fine deluxe UB-177 and spray the clear acrylic lacquer over it and no fading and e-tex or two pac clear does'nt bother it

Any permanent marker followed by a quick squirt of clear to seal, then clear with Etex as usual.....

The brand  name is ALVIN - Techliner comes in a pack of three 01mm, 03mm & 05 mm.
Here are the pics.

Thanks everyone for resourceful ............Cheers, will try Techliner hope they will give the results finger crossSmile
