Lures by Howard Kelly from Innisfail. Apparently he used to make lures but has recently returned to them as he is unable to go fishing anymore due to arthritis. The lure with the business card is one of his recent lures. The other photos I got off Facebook put on there from a post I put up.
Howard signs his lures as HJK with the J being an extention of the H.
Can this be moved to the Qld section. |

Have a couple I traded with Howard years ago for a couple of mine. That latest you posted looks molded with that finish? Maybe he's gone that way because of the arthritis?

I might be able to be of some help here. About 6 years ago I was knocked off my scooter and suffered a few injuries leaving me unable to make lures, now I try and make a few but life gets in the way most of the time.
This year I tried playing around with some foil tape and the blue shiny one Martin posted is one of them. I now use qld maple and buy bibs and eyes. The latest batch is ready to finish, I will put up a pic when they are done. Thanks for the interest. hjk |

Welcome to LL Howard, saw a few of your excellent creations some years ago on that other Lure site. Using same tag. Cheers Richard.
