Hi All,

Well I think my hand painting is slowly improving, and the colours didn't come up too bad after a coat of E-Tex.

Damn I want an air compressor.

Apols for out of focus pic.

Placing heat shrink over eyelets during painting & E-Tex much simpler then using pieces of tape, didn't heat it just pushed it over eyelets

Thanks Chris,

Next time I think I will actually heat the heat shrink 1st, or lighten up on the E-Tex, now have a heap of eyelets to clean out

Oh well everything is a learning curve.

I use heat shrink to make masks on my lures I draw a pattern on a body, shrink on some clear tube and carve out the mask, away I go. If you soak the mask in tap water for an hour it removes the built up acrylic paint. You do need to use the polyolfin based heatshrink as it is impervious to thinners and actones and a little easier to carve
The lures are looking good their mate
