sue and i went to callide dam for the first time, had a look around the area, drove out to a historical pub site. a rock with a few rellicks on it. history though. top of the hill overlooking the dam. they are working on the gates on the dam wall. water level is way down on what is advertised, 20%. sue doing her morning run along the wall. caught a few yellow belly, these are the hardest yellows i've caught. fast and all over the place, at first i thought i had a small barra on. saw plenty of big, and i mean big barra. one free jumped right next to the boat, a metre or so out of the water, i reckon it was close to a metre in length. a lot of barra on the surface, seemed to be sunning themselves. will go back again . park was clean and tidy, most cabins overlook the dam.

Was out there a few years ago Mick, just one session for no fish but a mate hooked a big Barra and got a big Sleepy Cod. We camped on hard rocky ground, so bad I sold all my camping gear!! That crane is one of the big draglines out there, we did a lot of buckets for them at Bradken Eng,,, Huge things!!!
