Do it yourself home made jigs

Also came across the following cigarette lighter and thin butter knife heat knife blade and press against any rips tears in jig bodies it is suppose to fuse together and you can use it again instead of discarding and putting a new body on.

It had to happen ok john great article as usual!!!! At present I'm pouring my own softies, there not shop quality yet but practice makes perfect!!!! I'm playing with shapes adding and minusing shapes in my plaster paris moulds!!!! I'm planning on a custom range of trailers for my spinnerbaits, but also i'm making lead head jigs that resemble my spinnerbait heads for bass!!!!! Not enough minutes in a day though I'm afraid!!!!! regards B.J.
P.S. John your inbox is full BUT stones green ginger wine or stones mac manufactured/made in Renmark S.A. I've guzzled gallons of it especiaally good for early morning trolling sessions in winter on the murray mate! Only draw back is when you see the bunyip mate then you know the wine has done its job!!!! regards B.J.

Be aware that some soft plastics will NOT weld back together. One other option you can try is a vinyl bonding cryanoacrylate glue (no not superglue!!) hard to repair types include those with inbuilt scents (Stimulate etc), salt, any of the protein based types (Gulp etc) and any made of cyberflexx like Terminator and Strike King.

I have a couple of do-it moulds for jigheads and they are well worth their price in my opinion!Clap

I have access to plenty of lead, so works out well!

I am experimenting at the moment with different jigheads and making bucktails from them..... Time will tell, but so far so good! Will try and post a picture soon.

I like the tip of cutting sinkers to make simple jigheads though.... Could extend to other shapes also I guess

Polyester filler is great for short runs and prototyping, I found it can burn if you pour too many in quick succession and overheat the mould. Some of the high Temp RTV silicone mould rubbers work well
