I have what I believe to be an Oargee Shad.
Wayne's website lists it as being ABS with rattle. This lure does not have a rattle. Did he ever make them from urathane? It is not timber. Laurie. |

Old man
the Shads were originally in Polyurethane - no rattle- then in 2000 they were made from ABS, the pointed bib (Salty) was done around 2003 when I went to the barra classic for the first time. a very good casting lure for barra, jacks etc. but because it is has a bend and wasnt a stick it wasnt considered a salt water lure. worked for me in the billabongs and casting the banks of the Daly, we finished 5th placed team that year.
Regards
Wayne
PS I dont get much time to check the forums these days but if you send an emails through our web site I can and will answer any questions regarding our lures www.oargeelures.com.au

Laurie,
I picked up a Shad lure.....Urathane without a rattle, was in a tackle box for many years. Nice lure to add to the collection and history.
