Thanks for this post Barry, looking at the bib and eyes do you think this unknown could be one of his? Old chap who gave me it said he can't remember where, but somewhere in the Tenterfield district. Regards, Tony.

Tony I suppose there is a chance. There are similarities there.
Maybe Alistair can show Don some pics of it and then we may know.

Thanks Barry, I'll post additional pics, it's only 7cms long and as you can see made to imitate a frog. Going by distinctive bib shape and eyes, I'd assume it's by Don. Different shape to the Panther however, probably owing to length and frog profile, if it's by him like to know if anyone else has one. regards, Tony.

WinkTony the surface lure you have is called a ripple bug made by a childhood friend of mine by the name of Glen Newton of "Newto's Lures" situated in Muswellbrook,in the Hunter Valley N.S.W. I have the later version which is a bit slimmer body wise but same bib mounted on the same angle. Have you swam it???? By far the BEST jitterbug styled lure in Australia today. You can bloop it lke a popper, dance it in one spot by shaking the rod tip,or walk it out, the bass go skitzo over it and so do the cod mate but if you want to swap it I would be interested........regards B.J.

Thanks for the ID B.J., Muswellbrook aye, quite away from where he found it. By the looks of condition has never been near water. I'll keep, as it's the only one of a new Aussie timber maker for me. But, I still have that yellow belly Bellbrook you were after, never heard back from you re swap, let me know.
Regards, Tony.

Nice lure barry. I would hazard a guess and say it is around the same age.
