John, I'm still hunting an original Reidy's timber for my collection. Must be getting scarce as don't see them anywhere. Anyone who has one to trade, I'd be happy to talk to. One day I'll come across one, makes the chase all that more worthwhile.
Regards, Tony.

John, That would be a relatively recent issue. The Judge, Daly Devil and Little Lucifer are all injection moulded lures. Not sure if the bodies are actually made in OZ or brought in as blanks or halves and then assembled painted and hardware fitted. I have one of each and they look like so many other asian sourced lures, hence my thinking above.
The range of Jeffs lures has fluctuated in size over the years, but they don't seem to attract much attention as a collectible. Certainly many older models around with different finishes etc to make a good collection. Cheers Brad |

Brad You are right .
I went looking in some of the earlier catalogues but there were no ads posted
The article was dated 1999 not sure when he got serious to sell to the public
If I happen to find some earlier lures will post.
regards John

John/Brad, the early ones we fished for billabong and creek barra were called Little Amazons and Mighty Mites, would have been mid 80's. I still have a couple of the Amazons, they were quite successful. Appear to be made from a type of injected material, bib included, not like the later hard plastic two piece.
Before this must have been his timber period, one of which I'd love for my collection, one day?
Think I've seen a pic Cranky posted with Reidy's hand signed under bib, haven't seen any others.
Regards, Tony.

reidys lures of course were made out of wood at the start, for friends and lure anglers then as demand increased he turned to faster methods of lure production to keep up demand this was done rather quickly in terms of urathane and plastic b 52 s and such so there wouldnt be a lot of wooden lures out there , if you have got a wooden reidys lure well you are very lucky , pearcey
