I remember Lance when he had a guided fishing camp on Croker Is. NT. Was working in West Arnhemland at the time he was there. Wonder where he is now? This would be around mid 90's.
Regards, Tony.

I beleive he is now in Townsville, and guides between there and the Cape, with Karumba being his favorite hangout. Tim

Tony i dont think they are for sale to the public that i know of , i know he makes alot for his own Guideing services & i have seen these lures out fish any other lure that swims & that can be frustrating, there is just something about them that  they can turn shut down fish 'On' especialy Barra, but i beleive Killalure will have a new lure out soon that is one of Lances [i cant wait to see it, i know it will catch fish] cheers Tim.

Does Lance still produce the timber lures?
I've got a good few of the "Killalure by Lance" but I picked up a timber in a pack with other stuff and it looks the goods.  The bib is laser etched so I assume at some point they went to market?  Or just sells them to clients maybe?
Just need to decide if I should hang on to it or pack it in the box and get it bashed.

Don't know if Lance does timber lures now, but a Russel Butler (son?) knocks out a few. Lives in Ingham I believe. Any more info you NQ blokes?? Cheers Richard.

I bump into Lance quite regularly up here, he still lives here and does local charters when he's not playing golf! I'm pretty sure he still knocks out a few lures and I'll check today to see if there are some in the Compleat Angler store.

Thanks Ian but I will leave them there for someone who needs a couple more barra lures more than I do :-D
Hard to find much info on these though.  Good to know a few got around.
I think I will pop the one I came across in the box for later in the month.

No worries mate, he has got a Facebook page. Word is that he may not be making many more... His lures aren't cheap, but they look the goods!
