Gold bomber hands down they love em infact any bomber colour works there like little whiting that would fall just behind the clouser though

mine would have to be the spanyid raider (i think thats what they are called) in the 20g and 10g smallest ones...
got this golden on 1000 penn accord with 6lb braid...on a raider. got him just off eliott heads on the artificial reefs casting into the beyond for some reason.... around 8kg by memory, got him about 5 years ago and still to this date have caught many on the same lure... Nick |

1st 2nd and 3rd choice the gold bomber especialy on the flats they love em though I think there are a plastics out there that would be just as good why change if it works

Spent a bit of time chasing Goldie's around the woodgate area and have had great success on Halco laser pros trolling over the artificial reefs also like nuclear chicken gulps, will have to post couple of photos when I get home on sat arvo

not quite a lure but my favorite bait was a muti colored deciever,i got a dozen goldies up to two kilo's once.ive caught bigger trevs on fly this is my best one caught at seal rocks tannum sands

Got a nice mixed bag last weekend on my barratroopers,skinny,jack,gt,s and a nice golden trev, so I would say,shallow divers that can be twitched and handle a little speed.

Most successful lure for me has been the humble old 40 gram slug dropped to bottom around the trevally schools then worked up at pace. Caught plenty of Goldens this way as well as numerous other trevally species, tuna and mackerel. Go to lure if I only had 1 to use.
