Had a couple of requests, from members, to post pictures of the lures that were still available from the 4WD SHOW, last weekend.
11 Macleay Minnows ($13 each).
2 Little Digger ($14), a Moogerah Minnow ($14) and a Mack Attack ($15)
5 'signed' and dated lures. 3 Mack Attack "Bertha" (these are heavy duty Mack Attacks) ($40), a Cod ($35) and a Mole R ($35)
4 Guppy Lure Making Kits ($30) & 6 7cm Minnow Lure Making Kits ($25)
It's always a bit of a lucky dip, with the 4WD Show, trying to work out which lures will be in demand. The Macleay Minnows are always the first to sell but, this year, only half were sold. Normally sell a few lure making kits - not one sold this year! Most of the visitors are families looking at caravans and campervans, so there's not too many serious fishermen lining up although, this year, we were blessed with a good representation of LL's members.

To cut a long story short, I bought 3 cheap, crappy, bendy minnow lure off the 'bay and challenged Gary and Dave to see who could catch the first flattie on one. No hope. The darn things didn't work too well.
So, I made us each a flouro orange Moogerah Minnow, with white bands, like yours. Now, all we have to do is get on the water and get some teethy critters to bite the pretty little lures .
I am a little nervous about sharing this lure with a Queenslander, though. They've already kicked arse in the football. The shame of loosing a fishing challenge to a Qld'er might be too much!

Obviously the only possible answer would be for Darby to come down to fish against us southerners we could then obviously go north for the second round. Look out Travers could be orders coming left right and centre this could become a Lurelovers mega challenge.

Travers, well it is after all a lure with Queensland heritage isn't it.....only fitting that I should take it to its home water and see if it works not sure about the colour though, always did well in Moogs on Green and Black.

that is true do you think he should put numbers on their backs like 1,9,6, etc and then perhaps a blue set numbers like 0

Gary, as long as they are named Artie, Mal, King Wal, Alfie, Gordo and Dazza that will be fine

Last and final call! Just these 2 Mack Attacks remain + the lure making kits.
I must be a bad judge. I thought the black head, flouro orange lure would be the first to go.

I thought it would have gone too. But then I had my heart set on the little diggers and missed out.
