Now it's my turn to be grossed out . Liver is Bait and kidney is where all the nasty stuff is filtered and the only tongue I want in my mouth belongs to my gal .
You and I can make a positive difference in someones life every day if only for a moment.

Steak and kidney stew, liver and bacon, now I am hungry. In New Guinea we used to eat turtle and turtle soup. I like a kangaroo stew, but buffalo, crocodile, camel, rabbit - all much much better then carp.  Sea urchins are good too

You don't have to eat themLOLLOL They make much better fertilizer or bait.
Sight casting to them in creek's and rivers with little lures is heap's of fun though

Cheers

I've caught lots of carp when fishing for bass and bream.
Small curly tail grubs - particularly Gulp! - definitely do the most damage for me.
Small divers like Ecogear SX40s seem to be the pick of hardbods.
And I've caught them on blades and ice jigs in dams as well.

Interestingly - I've never caught a carp when I've been targeting them.  Even sight casting.  I think around Sydney they are too well fed by kids throwing bread to ducks.

Same Ducks - they're by-catch for me when targeting Goldens and Bass on small lures. It seems to be entirely up to the location a lot of the time. Some of the local lakes here are crawling with them but I've never had one connect with a lure, while in other dams they'll climb onto the lure before the native fish do. They're funny things.

Cheers,

Danny.

Hume Dam just before sunset in amongst the trees using very small hard bodies or trout spinners. They rise to the surface like a trout to feed sipping down bugs and running down small fish.

Number 3 stumpjumper is a my favourite lure for carp but i have seen them take a spinnerbait on occasions.Very fun to catch on lures and even caught them out of Burley Griffen on small Austaralian Crafted lures too.
