Hi all, just to let you all know, we  are offering a free repainting service for any 'older' Hueys, just contact me via Pm and we can arrange to have them done(no cost except postage)!
We have also introduced in the last two years, a remake of the old Hellin Fishcake lures which were proving immensely popular down here in Tassie, before they were discontinued Colours are all original, in that they are 'Hueys' colours. Much heavier and more solid that plastic lure of old, the Fishcakes have stainless props(front and rear) and are proving to be great fishtakers of a night. Truly collectible, each lure is hand signed as they are 'hand made' as always.
I'd like also to introduce you to our 'new' grub lures, these are 3cm long and shallow runners and finished in beautiful pearl paints.
All the best
Carl

I dont think the guys hwo bought the mold is making them anymore.. Mine were hand pressed and were the larger version of Kats lures from Devonport(Cliff and Gladys)19g.(Whom i bought the mold from)
Demand wasn't there , as 25 backyard operators throughout the state were  going full tilt at that time.
I have  about 6 in the collection but manufactured about 10,000, so they have to be somewhere?
Cheers

Dont know mate, really haven't the time as not into  the big production numbers, just happy to supply a 'local' market. Mass produced lures  lose their individuality....I.M.H.O.

Very good Huey, it seems every community in Tassie had their very own cobra maker. Love to get them all in the one spot to chat and eyeball all their lures? Cheers

Hi Bob and old mate Bill Way (formerly Nat Nat lures) has been doing very well on Bass down his way at Bowral, so I can see why they wouldn't work up there.

I am thinking your right JD, your post wont be up long.

I am going to say this once just to be nice rather than delete posts without explination, although I think your both smart enough to work it out. Leave the crap at the door. We are not interested in personal attacks.

Huey, your post about a attack on you on another forum should not be brought up here. Please deal with it if you so wish on that forum as cross forum arguments, apart from the fact it is very messy is just going to end up bad. Nothing good can come of it and benifits nobody, not yourselves and definately not the members here.

JD, you were out of line. Obviously there is alot of history somewhere but the fact is, it aint here so again, leave it at the door please.

Please contribute, interact and enjoy the forum but dont drag us into a slanging match please.
Alistair.

Thanks Alistair and I apologize to members  for bringing this up.
I produce hand crafted lures and that's all I am interested in and am more than happy to help your members out with any questions.
I am keen to help this site along and last week posted some lures to Tony to do with what he wishes(comp) whatever. I am more than happy to focus on what this site is about, collecting and loving lures. I wish you well!

JD, if you have a look at the post before yours the only part stating anything about copying is this,

"At the same time, you have got to look at what they are 'producing' and I bet the one's doing the complaining are copying others(as has happened to Hueys) and are out to flood the market and make a fast buck."

I dont know what he is refering to and because it is not on this forum I dont care. If there has been a case of slander or similar on that forum I suggest you take it up there please.

I have spoken to Huey about his post and will leave it at that unless he does not follow the forum rules. He has not made any mention to you or indicated anything of the sort and I dont think anyone has taken it that way. If you have read between the lines and interpret a hidden meaning in it then that does not justify a personal attack as you have done.

Your first sentance of the post shows that you were fully aware you were breaking the forum rules. Dont complain when this is confirmed.

Members that do not follow these rules may have access to certain benefits of this forum removed, no correspondence will be entered into.

Please keep in mind that your activity on this Forum is your responsibility. If you are unsure about making a certain post, or activity on this Forum, please ask for clarification.

I have taken the time to explain myself to you in the hope that you will understand that personal differences need to be left at the door. The sharing of factual information and all things lures is certainly encouraged for the benifit of the lure lovers community but personal attacks will not be acceptable and I hope that further action to ensure this is understood is not required.
Alistair.
