I luv the paint job and hand delivered that's special. I haven't met Bill J yet but over the last 2 years we've had phone conversations about lure collections and styles.

I was lucky enough to get some from Bill , very nice lures , there is just something about handcrafted lures , no mass  produced will give  you the same pride in owning  a lure as handcrafted .

That gold one is a barra taker in fresh water for sure. The blue would be good for throwing into mangrove roots at high tide.  Top lures.

Just got back from Crankys this morning had some good fishing met Mark and watched in awe as he carved a lure. Unbelievable symmetry for carving without lines. Caught some good fish on my and members lures. Got a lot of lures for collection. Learnt a lot about durability, size action, will post photos later and a few stories. Re-acquainted with Ron & Jean Gallo great people. wow thanks for the kind words but it was a real eye-opener to use them. However Ian I am still a Jack virgin so really excited about next month. Cranky sowed a seed with talk about the predominant baitfish on the reef. So I went about producing my version with a tight shallower action lure. Carved from cedar it was very bouyant so had to add some chin weight. Didnt expect to fish this one mainly about concept, but fish it we did with some sucess until a big angry GT pulled the rear hooks out. Pleased with results but will have to make with through the body wire.

Bill, try making them from Beech, so the tropical terrorists have a harder time chewing through 'em Thumbs Up
the heavier timber will cut down on the weighting as well.
Nice shapes and patterns mate 66

Great looking lure Bill, a very nice colour scheme for up that way.

A baptism of fire for a concept lure, as barneyminno says the chewed look is very fetcing.

Went fishing with Cranky and Ross Digman on the Tully. Launched on a bar just below Ross's house and was given a lesson in casting light lures on a baitcaster and catching Sooties and JPs. (got the jargon) I did manage to get a few of each and had a wonderful days fishing. Fish caught on Powelly, Esoteric, MD's, Leeds, & my little lure. Would have liked to use more lures but ran out of time.

Those jungle perch must be feisty, it's taken on a lure nearly as big as it.
