Wow when you put a couple of these lures next to each other you can see where what was made and whom may have taught and shared idea's ?
I assume this Newell lure is a Guppy, but crikey when next to a Dart it's a twin Is it a Guppy ? |

Peter allowed Trevor to make the Guppy and Kadaitcha shapes, hence the close similarity. The Guppy was the first lure that Peter showed me how to carve. I made Guppys for a year or two before I modified the shape and called it the Digger. Occasionally, I get comments about the Digger being copied from the Dart but the reality is that the Dart and Digger both started life as Peter's Guppy. Cheers Travers
