Very interesting Carlos. Lots of nice shapes to imitate food objects. No spoon on any of them. Is thy made to just float the surface, and maybe make some move with the fishing Rod
Like to see them finished with paint on

these baits are used with a Grub or taller, the hook is a very productive bait for fishing "Traíras" ... just finished post the photos ... they work in flooded areas with a lot of vegetation .. not curl .. and "Traíras" are under the vegetation ... why they are so good ..... I hope you enjoy .. these are used in some fishing "Traíras" a hug from a friend of Brazil |

Thanks Carlos a different style of fishing and types of lures being used. A mouse lure and frog lure are used here in Australia . Interesting hook set up on the black mice lures, two single hooks used, or a large double.
Thanks for posting regards John

Good read Carlos, I think your Trairas are similar to our Saratoga or Malaysian Arowana species. We fish exactly the same type of topwater weedless bait for them here in the Northern Territory, Australia.

They resemble the "Traira" a fish is very aggressive, attacking anything that is within your reach, or near the nest .... These lures are very easy to make and render a beautiful result ... a hug from a friend in Brazil this link for Traira.. |

Carlos, on seeing your link, nothing like a Saratoga, this ones got bloody big teeth. More a cross between a Tiger Fish and an Asian Snakehead . Awesome.
Regards, Seaweed.

Hey Carlos - where abouts in Brazil are you located?
I'm heading over to Manaus in February to take trip and hopefully catch some big "tucanare", "triaira", "Aruana", big catfish, and whatever else will eat my baits! What do you think of the pack of lures that the Australian lure makers have put together for me? www.lurelovers.com/forum/wtb-peacock-bass-lures-a-challenge_topic13619.html |
