Here are some Tempest lures from Inverell area. The very original Tempest I believe was timber with only a few geting made. This was before Mike teamed up with Stu to form Kingfisher lures. The ones here are the first of the molded lures made from plastic that Mike did before this partnership with only a limited run of these done. These have been hand painted. When the partnership started the Tempest started to be handpainted underneath with a stamped pattern on the side and eyes as can be seen still today. They also incorporate a rattle which these ones do not. Would love to see any of the old Timber ones or other colours in this type/era. I have not even seen them at the Inverell Kingfisher store (And I have ratted around the back looking for older timbers)

I picked up a couple more of these on card. Showned them to the maker this week, Mike Shelton who said the cards were the first cards he made for them. I now have the original handpainted Tempest lures in 3 sizes.
