G'day Guy's,
Joined up earlier today and have been going through the Forum. I fish mainly blue water off Cape Moreton and Moreton Bay. Trolling for Wahoo is my prime reason for going offshore during the warm months and bay trips targeting Estuary Cod during the colder months. Looking forward to sharing info on techniques and lures in general. Cheers Jim

Welcome to the site Jim. That's a bit unusual (for me at least anyway) of somebody going out specifically targeting estuary cod. What is it about them that gets you to chase them over many other species in the bay? Apart from their great eating and fighting qualities as there are many fish generally regarded as great eating and fighting fish during winter?

G'day Martin (HorrorHead),
For me it is the take of the lure and their dash for cover back to the rocks, much like a jack but with a clumsiness about their action which is their downfall. And as you say they are delicious to eat. I have caught them on everything from plastics to spinner baits and everything in between. Jim.
