Hi all,
Went for a visit to local timber yard and sourced a few sticks of various timbers,here are a couple of lures just cleared ,,mix of mahogany and hairy oak.I did manage to extricate the brush whisker from second one before it it was set in the clear,

It is a brilliant timber, every lure I see made from it is simply stunning. These are no exception. The mahogany sets it off nicely too. Love them and with a bib like that they must have a hell of a wobble.

Thanks for the comments ,yes Hairy oak comes up a treat  just a beaut combination of grain structure ,but it sure is a hard timber to carve ,,i have a few more exotic timbers to play with so maybe today I will be able to make something out of it,.

I have made a couple more of these woodies and a couple have a different timber laminated  ,,have to get a pic and post up later they also have timber bibs ,I have sold two of the hairy oaks already.

two species of timber have been identified so far ,and they are the Mahogany and the bib is Wadey cedar,no hairy oak in this one ///

Good morning all ,
it seems that there will be no one gettting the wood id on the one I have posted ,,red cedar in the bib, sides are black palm and parduk(slice of red high on one side and low on other)mahogany center(indonesian)thanks for the ones who had a guess,
They are for sale if anyone wants one ,I will see if they swim first though.
