Cam Culpitt lives just north of Innisfail and attends one of the local markets near Innisfail, as well as going regularly to Kurumba with his lures, handlines and rolling pins.

He has been making lures now for about 18 months and his finish is getting better and better and his actions have also been sorted and now consistently work well. He went through a period of trial and error with his designs to see what worked and wghat didn't. He signs his lures with HL and he has caught some great fish on them. I have caught barra, sooties, toga, bass and murray cod.

Here are some of his smaller lures from last year, he has since come ahead in leaps and bounds with his overall finish and he is always designing new shapes. I lost a huge bibless he gave me off the Seisa jetty last October (can't remember if it was that large unseen animal or a big barracuda that was chewed on by a shark right at the jetty taking the lure).

His new barra lures look the goods.

Yeah, they are a bit chunky as a viper style but a nice wiggle to them.
