Hi, new to the forum and lure fishing.
I hope to be making my own lures soon and offering the odds and sods up for sale. I don't expect much if anything sales wise but that's as maybe.
Just invested in an airbrush ans compressor which should be hysterical as I have no artistic talent whatsoever!

anyhoo, looking to pick brains and hopefully provide some answers as well.

Cheers, laurence

I'm in Derbyshire, in a small town on the edge of the Peak District.
Plenty of lure fishing to be had for pike and perch.

Visited some of my then girlfriend’s relatives in or near Sheffield. A canal was nearby and I was watching pike ambushing perch from under the cover of a lily pad. Never did get to fish for them but they look like fun wrapped in fish skin.

yup. it also has a river called the Rother. the river is alive with greyling after the EA re-stocked it a few years ago along with the odd trout, chub and barbel.
the canal WAS full of pike, perch and some carp until our eastern european friends emptied it with deadlines etc.

Yes I have heard about the animosity between the English and the descendants of the “ winged hussars”.
