Just an idea guys, when sending lures all over this great country, I know some people use lure piping on the hooks. However this can be hard to find.
I have now started using Venti cigarette filters. These are $3.00 for 140 and saves damage to our precious lures.
Maybe I am just weird, but seems to work well for me.

G'day Matt

Not a wierd idea at all. I used to use ciggarette filters as hook protectors and they do a pretty good job, although I do find the tubing a lot better. (it looks better, plus doesn't fall off as the filters tended to have a habit of doing when I used them)

I have been looking in to ordering in a bulk lot of the tubing to make it available to members here (amongst a few other things) although the person I have bought it from in the past doesn't seem to be interested in a bigger order so I will source another supplier. Preferably if I can find out who the distributor of the stuff is will be better as I'll be able to get it cheaper for us all Wink
Cheers, Tony

For the love of Fishing Lures.

Sounds good Tony, put me down for some. One of the guys I buy off in the States said he can get me 10000 1/2 inch pieces for what he called cheap.
Will let you know when he gets back to me.
Cheers Matt.

hey guys,

this might sound a little funny,
i use these things called scoobies
(all the kids use  them for making wristbands etc,)
basically its a thin piece of tube normally coloured, although i found a huge packet at the $2 shop with transpearant colours, works perfectly and ive got that much of the stuff i doubt il ever have to buy any again,

http://media.photobucket.com/image/scoobies/ebargainsshopuk/1-1.jpg

i think this might even be the brand i bought,
when u pull a single strand out its pretty clear and when its on the hook you never know,

hope that helps,

Cheers
