When I first saw a picture of this spoon, I thought it was an early Abu/Record bait from Sweden, as the paint looked very Abu-like. When I finally managed to get one, it turns out it is Norwegian!

This 'Krabba' spoon is marked 'Hval Sluk Enerett' (Whale Lure, registered) and I believe it is circa 1950s.  Not large, but a chunky 18g and a very neat design.

Hval is not a maker I was previously aware of and I wonder if any of our Scandinavian friends can tell me anything about them?

Interesting shape. I wonder how much of a difference th lumps and bumps made to the action, or if they are to help create a bubble trail.
