Can anybody please help me confirm if this is a Jim Allen or a Greg Belford, Captain Cranky put up a few of Greg Belfords some time ago and there was a blue one with a red bib, although I think a slightly different paint finish.

Is Jim Allen, or Greg belford from Townsville or are they from Cairns? The reason I ask, is that a mate has a lure very similar to this, but it was made by a Cairns maker who he believes is a John Adams. My mate may be mistaken with his lure.

Going between the 2 lures, the only difference is that one is a deep diver and the other is a shallow diver.
Greg Belford it is then

Reckon it's a Belford Billy, have a look at this one sorry about the blurry image, old photo, Townsville 80's, note the red eye. Jim Adams of Cairns did a similar scale pattern, sold at Rusty's Market years ago and I have seen some sold through Bransford's Clifton Beach, I believe he's since passed away.

Last time I was in Bransford's, they still had some Jim Adams poppers if anybody is chasing them.
We originally thought my mate's was a Jim Adams because he bought it at Bransford's and yes, the scale pattern is very similar and he also used that same blue coloured paint. But my mate is happy that it's a Belford.
