Reckon the surface is a "Creek Chub Pikie" (or husky pikie, depending on size) its one I came across on ebay a fair bit when searching for bigger topwater lures.
The crawdad could be a creek chub too, but it's a pretty common name and shape. Age and price I wouldn't have a clue. Or manufacture dates of the models. You can still buy pikies new in pack for a few bucks but that might be old stock or whatever. Not sure if there are any distinguishing features for dating them at all. Edit... Errrm should have looked before I responded. The pikie is similar but I cant find any with that cupped bib. I wonder if either that puts a date on it and nothing on ebay looks like it, or if it was a later modification. |

Pair of Creek Chub Salt Water
Lures - nice pair of circ 1940's wooden lures with
glass eyes. One is a Surfster and the other is a Striper Pikie. Both have
been fished and have age lines and paint chips. Sold as a pair.
Surfster - cupped bib is less pronounced. http://www.fishingcollectables.com/images/cc480.jpg |
